How To Create An Ms Access Workgroup Database (MDW)?

Adding workgroup security (or adding an MS Access MDW file) for your ms access database is fairly easy. The features are provided within the MS Access Application.

However, did you know that your MS Access mdw and database is still fairly un-secure!!

Due to the nature of Microsoft Access being easy to use, security isn't the first consideration. The security features provided does give more security but there are some weaknesses / backdoors.

For example the Admin user name cannot be made secure, the only way to get round this problem is to cripple the Admin user and create a new super user which can be secured. In order to do this you must create a workgroup file (MS Access MDW) (e.g. System mdw).

This is just one of the features which MDBSecure can provide to make your MS Access database more secure. Yes these measures can be carried out within MS Access but ths can be time consuming and you need to spend time researching Microsoft recommendations.
