Is YOUR MICROSOFT ACCESS DATABASE Secure?

Microsoft Access databases are not secure by default. Database security features are included in Microsoft Access but different versions of the database have different security weaknesses.

There is no single method of making a secure Access database. If you have the time, Microsoft provide instructions for manually encrypting passwords and enabling security. The security-enabling process can take half an hour per database even if you are technically knowledgeable.

Our database security software, MDBSecure, makes the process of securing a database incredibly easy. Using our security utility, you never be put off making your databases secure again. Our security software will aid you in closing any security gaps or loopholes in your organisation's data storage.

If you want to find out more about how our security software can help you protect your data, read on below.

Without wanting to give away a blue print for someone else to write their own program, I can provide a step by step process of the manual process.

This process will take you around 30 minutes!

    1.Create new workgroup, Join it

2.Open up a database or create new one

    3.Create Super User with password

4.Log out / then login in with it

5.Create new database, Add passwords for Admin

6.Start modifying permissions, Remove them from Admin and Admins Group

    7. Now Encrypt

    8. Add new groups and permissions

    9. Import tables etc from master database, ownership will have changed.
