What is the Ideaspad Community?

A place where you can share your creations and hold discussions.

You can share your creations either as HTML files for Templates or by using the Export files, produced by the export wizard.

Listing : We have created a simply order entry form, it allows you to enter the customer name and address, credit card details and product details. The form then produces order totals and allows you to produce an advice note from the data your have entered. The HTML used is reliant on JavaScript and even though the fields are shown on different views are still all part of one HTML form. Therefore all the fields are stored within one Ideaspad topic. Obviously the form can be used many times for different customer orders.

Listing : The cold calling (ringing potential customers who may be interested in products) selling technique is commonly used by companies looking for new customers. Although this process can be handled by dedicated companies smaller companies can benefit from this approach. This form gives you an idea of the sort of system you could quickly create. JavaScript has been employed to populate the questions used based on product promotions options, the type of product to be analysed and current offers.

Instructions – How to install templates

As you may wish to modify the template shown here, they have provided them as HTML files.

First select the template you want to download, then right click on the link shown next to "Template File" and chose "Save As". Save the file into your Ideaspad layouts directory which will probably be "C:\Program Files\Mindwarp Consultancy Ltd\Ideaspad\Layouts".

Next, within Ideaspad from the Templates menu, select "Select Template".

Your new template file will be shown on the left hand side of the next screen, click on it and click on the Select button.

You may now either use the template, or click cancel on the next screen.
